What is the 50/10 rule?
This rule if followed not only has health benefits but also makes us more productive. Its inspired by researcher Cal Newport’s philosophy on productivity.
50/10 rule means work for fifty minutes and then take rest for ten minutes. So if you are working on your desktop make it a point to move out of the working zone after 50 min. Get up from your chair, walk around, talk to someone, shift your focus
No matter how enthusiastic you are about your work, use the 50/ 10 rule to recharge your batteries, recharge your systems and let the blood flow. Use the 10 min space to energize your system
I have tried this and helps. I usually keep an alarm to remind myself of the break after 50 min. Do it religiously and notice how you feel.
