Whom do want to hang around with?

This happened few years back..

I remember vividly about my colleague Charlie (name hidden) who was doing very well off in almost every domain of his life .. career, family, finance, supporting wife..in fact people would envy him.  still everyday morning he would come to work and grumble and crib about small things.. complain.. the boss is directive, peers are not trust worthy, culture is unhealthy, complain about spouse. Over time it got me feeling really sick. Though I would start each day full of energy and enthusiasm, it would soon fade away with this negative influence.

On the other hand we had a driver Robert (name changed) who had a totally different view on life. He used to drive us back and forth from work. His wage was barely enough to meet his basic needs. His child was a differently abled child, his spouse was not working and he was the only member supporting his large family. yet he never complained. he often expressed gratitude to all that he had. He even got us home made food that his wife would cook. Talking to him often uplifted me up and I could feel the positive vibe around and within me

I soon realized the unknown and unseen influence these people were having on my life, the impact of people with whom I surround with.

As psychologist Henry Cloud says, “How well you do in life and business depends not only on what you do and how you do it…but also on who is doing it with you or to you.”

I see it as a prerequisite.. the foundational block for success

Hang around with people like Charlie, and you can start seeing the world from his perspective. And the reverse is also true. Surround yourself with people like Robert and everything starts looking up.

We want to step into 2018 with enthusiasm, So be aware and conscious of the people with whom you hang around with?.. Are they Charlies or Roberts? What can you do to bring in more Roberts in your inner circle and make 2018 the best year for you.

As we wind up 2017..lets lay the foundation right and strong for 2018 and NOW is the time
