One of the most impactful people in my life is my mother; a home maker with not many resources. Kind, encouraging, funny, compassionate, inspirational.. I can go on and on. In short, I learnt I can become who I choose to become.
Think about the people who have had the most impact in your life – an encouraging teacher, a caring friend, kind parents or a wise mentor.
These people most likely made a difference, with something they continually did, not just by telling. They might not have been the most powerful people, yet so impactful. They touched your lives. They made an impact with their words, with their behaviors, with their actions. They stood for their values. They acted on issues that mattered to them.
It does not matter how big your position is or how vast your platform is or how large your following is. What matters is you stand for something you value, for someone you care for. What matters is YOU!
Yes, You matter. Your voice matters, Your action matters.
The impact you make on the world matters!
And..
You choose what matters most to you.
Start today. Don’t settle for mediocrity. One step leads to many steps. Small steps lead to big changes..
You too can make an impact.
“Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, she stands up for all women.” – Maya Angelou
